151 years ago this town of Lansdale, Pennsylvania was founded on the North Pennsylvania railroad simply because someone chose to create a railroad junction here instead of literally anywhere else. 21 years ago I came to this town when I was unemployed, broke, homeless and likely out of immigrant status. this town offered me shelter and hope and employment. and today, as I celebrate my town’s founders day I embrace my glorious man who approached me in the beer garden and gave me a fist bump because we were wearing the exact same hat. life’s always in motion, my friend.
